Freelance Editor
HEATHER McCORKLE started out as an acquiring editor for Compass Press in 2011 to 2013, then worked as a freelance editor under McCorkle Creations. She then worked for City Owl Press from 2014 to 2024 as a senior editor, acquisitions editor, and eventually editorial head of an imprint. Her authors included those with works of fantasy, steampunk, science fiction, historical romance, fairytale retellings, paranormal romance, magical realism, and more. Many of those authors went on to become award winning or best selling authors. She specializes in editing all genres of fantasy and science fiction. She is also an award-winning author.
